Inclusion on campus: at Audencia, every path counts

Since 2022, Audencia’s Mission Handicap has been supporting students with disabilities to enable them to pursue their studies in the best possible conditions. The result: transformed trajectories, strengthened ambitions and the same determination: to enable every student to reach their full potential, whatever their uniqueness.

Support that begins even before the start of the school year

Today, Audencia’s Mission Handicap provides support for 195 students, with programs tailored to each situation. 63 RQTH grants have been awarded to cover the additional costs associated with disability (equipment, accommodation, transport). Today, almost 3.44% of the school’s students benefit from personalized support.

“At Audencia, they took me seriously. They were looking for solutions even before I arrived at the school.”
– Mellina Attaf, student on the Grande École Program

Mellina Attaf, who suffers from hemiplegia, was contacted before her admission orals to anticipate her needs. Once on campus, special arrangements were put in place: adapted timetable, tutoring hours, flexibility for medical absences. The result: a calm and confident education.

Concrete resources designed for and with students

At Audencia, inclusion is based on a global approach. These include

  • 138 hours tutoring provided in 2024-2025
  • Adapted equipment: reading pens, computers with specific software, scripting assistance
  • Financial support for tuition fees or internships abroad
  • Company speedmeetings to support professional integration
  • Educational games and conferences such as Handipoursuite or Mission Handicap roundtables, to remove taboos around disability, particularly in the world of work.

Audencia, the choice of an inclusive environment

Originally from Lyon, Oussama Daif also had no hesitation in choosing Nantes for the MSc Financial Markets & Sustainable Investment. His choice was motivated not only by Audencia’s academic reputation, but also by the guarantee of an inclusive environment.

“Audencia is the place where I knew my rights would be respected. Third-party time, housing, internships, everything was put in place.”

– Oussama Daif, MSc Financial Markets & Sustainable Investment student

Thanks to the help of Mission Handicap and the support of the Audencia Foundation, Oussama is able to cover the costs of his wheelchair and accommodation, so he can concentrate on his studies and look to the future: heading for the Paris campus for his M2 in September 2025.

A collective dynamic that goes beyond targets

Audencia had set itself a target: to reach 2% of students with disabilities by 2025. This target was reached – and even surpassed – with 3.44% last June. But for the school, the stakes go far beyond the figures: more and more students are declaring their disability, facilities are being adapted, and the culture of inclusion is growing across the campus.

Whether it’s a one-off need or long-term support, Mission Handicap takes action every day to guarantee equal opportunities.

This collective commitment comes to life thanks to the mobilization of the teaching teams, corporate partners and individual donors who make this inclusive environment possible, where every talent can reach its full potential.
